Currently, I have 3 Angelfish, 2 Red-Tailed Rainbowfish, 1 Swordtail, 1 (gentle) RTBS, and 7 Corydoras (Bronze and Peppered). Could I get a Senegal Bichir as well? I will be building a large tank this winter, so there will be some re-shuffling. Should I get one? Will it be OK?

I would personally wait until you get the big tank and then get the bichir.

Just curious, how big is the big tank?

P.T.

314 gallons will be the tank size. It was going to be 135, but I thought, hey, if I've got permission to build a big one, why not make it REALLY big? It'll be 84"x48"x18".

Senegal bichirs would do great in a 314G, but they would most likely eat everything but your angels at full size :) You could leave the ittle fish in their current tank and have larger fish in the other tank w/ th bichir :)

Why stop at a snegaul birchir? get one of the bigger, exotic (and prettier) onwes such as polypterus ornatapinnirs? They are beautiful and have a good temperment for their size
