Well, as posted in a thread in the Brackish forum i picked up some BBG's and while there the owner mentioned that he had some "Birchirs", immediately i was expecting to see 10"+ monsters in a tank...and well there was one 10" beauty, but then he said we also have some smaller ones.....

Aint he/she the cutest little Dinosaur

He's about 2" long and is currently dwarfed by the Bristlenose Male and the 4 Panchax.

The tank he is in currently has bugger all in it bar Plecs and 4 Killies....the Cory and Collies aregoing fairly soon. If he eats the odd Coolie i wont know until i come to catch the little wrigglers lol

awesome choice. senegals are one of my favourites among bichirs. mine started off from around 2" aswell, and now he's almost 10"

you have no idea, i missed a cracker of a photo just as i got home from work, he was sat on the wood beside the BN male....the Plec positively dwarfed the little chap lol

not want tin sound like a penis size comparison, but yours is bigger than mine

Im meaning the Bichir, mine is around the 2-2.5" mark, currently dwarfed by the Killies and Plecs. ALso i noticed that the head on your Bichir seems a diff shape to my little chap. Im wondering if yours is an Ornate....If so i think they get larger than Senegals
