i brought a Green Clown Goby form my LFS on saturday, and only really notice when i got home he has a faily concave stomach. Im really worried about him feeding, and have heard they are very difficult to get eating. Do you have any advice as to how to get him to eat, ive tryed flakes, frozen mysis, frozen brine and live brine. I cant really QT him as i have no spare equipment, so is there anything else i could try, i wanna keep him alive and happy, hes awsome :)

Yes that usually is the case with a lot of fish. However, if you turn off all the flow in the tank and leave it to settle, target feed anyway and even if he does swim away there is a chance he will still see the food and eat some. Worth a shot.

yer i suppose your right, anythings worth a shot, ill try that tmoz :good:

you reckon brine shrimp is best as is smaller?

Yes I would reccomend brine as a first try, since it looks real unlike flake.

Let us know how it goes.

The fish is probably still a bit stressed and unsure of its new surroundings. My clownfish wouldn't eat for a few days and when I put flake food on the surface of the water, it cowered at the bottom of the tank in terror

I found that the Ocean Nutrition Formula Two Marine Pellet (1-2mm) worked wonders. Its got garlic in it and it certainly encouraged mine to eat

Hi JT,

Yes it does sink. Fish, hermits, conch and bristileworms all seem to love it.
