selling babies

I have been having a great time over the last few weeks watching my white and black molly and guppies having their babies. the thing is that we are getting rather alot now and I was wondering at what size would the pet shops mabey take them? I have bought myself a new 25 gallon tank so I was going to use my other smaller one and the one I have now to keep the babies in. I am keeping the bigger one for the bigger fish

Most lfs won't take them unless they are adults. Not necessarily mature, but large enugh to sell onto customers. Remember customer's want to see the colouration of the fish before they buy. Look at it this way. If you went into a fish shop, what would you expect to see before you buy. The same then applies to the fish shop owner who jobs it is to sell their stock.
