Just a quick querie, is it okay to secure plants to bogwood using fine fuse wire? I have had them secured with elastic bands but they were quite noticeable and the wire I thought would be less obtrusive, however, I thought it best to check it's safe to use. Thanks for replies in advance. :good:

I'd actually be hesitant to put in any kind of metal in to the tank.
You could always get some fishing line. It's clear and you can get a roll of it for cheap.

I would use either fishing line or a small rubberband. Thats what I've used in the past.

Fishing line is a popular choice, and I've personally used cotton thread. It takes around 6 months to a year to rot away, by which time the plants are well anchored anyway.

It is important to use cotton thread though if you want it to eventually disappear, as nylon thread will just be there forever.

I always used fine fuse wire for my rhizome plants, but now use super glue, which is far and away the easiest method IMO.

Dave.
