Good luck im in the same place ive had 2 batches with no luckGood luck with this batch.
They didn't eat the eggs the fry actually made it to the free swimming stage the first timeFor various reasons, it is common for newly paired angelfish that are first timers (age-wise) to decide to eat the eggs. This can occur for a few spawnings. Conditions like other fish can cause them to do this, but sometimes they just do it even when no other fish are present. This never happens with wild caught fish according to what I have read, only the tank-raised. I believe this applies to the eggs; once hatched it should be OK, unless of course there is a perceived threat present in the tank.
I don't have the space or funds to get a second setupHave either of you tried to take the eggs and raise them in a separate tank? That is the only way I have managed to successfully hatch the eggs from a community tank. I have had success with leaving the eggs with the parents but only when the parents were the only fish in the tank.
