Its actually entirely dependent on the species of the anemone whether it likes or tolerates high light...

Has the seabae moved, or does it just stay there? When it retracts from the light does it let its mouth gape open? Are its tentacles still sticky?

I recently got a sebae, and I don't know what to think...He doesn't seem to want to set himself down, he hasnt moved much, but he has eaten silver sides twice (Out of the week I have owned him) and has the healthy brown color to him. He seems to be content sitting between two rocks just not really 'Attatched'...is this normal? I have read that the brown color means they are healthy, he is eating and looks to be 100% ok...is something not right? Water checks out to be perfect, and the lighting is 2 96 watt 50/50 CF...

Sorry to hijack .

If the tentacles are sticky, it eats when fed, the color brown, and the mouth closed, the nem is most likely healthy. I dont know if I'd trust it to PCs, but there are always exceptions to the rule.

When i feed mine and my finger gets in the way he grabs on to me...almost like glue, so he is sticky as can be. Upon coming home I found the clowns hosting him...but he is on his side, wtf =/...He refuses to stand up and attatch, he doesnt move...is he lazy? I would make my own post but I think it would be a waste of space when I think we both have similar questions. As far as lighting goes...he was white as a ghost when I purchased him...my lighting gave him the color, wouldn't that be a good sign  ??

Triggerobsessed, your nem sounds stressed but not in dire trouble. Seabae nems in general are more tolerant of low light, so it might do well if you move it under an overhang. Then again, it may adjust to the high light over time. Tough to say which one you should do without being there myself.

Zukari, that your nem hasn't made a fast hold on anything is not really in and of itself an indicator of its health. If everything else you mention about the nem's condition is true, I'd say its quite healthy.

Woke up and he is working his way up a rock and slowly into a cave, also the clown fish have taken to him, couldn't be happier atm ! :hyper:
