Search Slightly Broken?

Are the wildcards not working in search anymore?

I was looking for an old thread of mine, and tried searching with "chlor*" which "didn't return any results" (though humorously suggests that I try using wildcards) but, if I search for "chloramine" I get plenty of results, 23 in fact. In both, I filtered by member name, my own. The chlor* should include all the chloramine posts as well as chlorine -- I didn't remember which word I used which is why I was trying to use the wildcard.

Just thought I'd bring this up to see if anything can be done about it.

Did you try 'search titles only' or 'search entire post'? SH

Just tried it, worked fine for me using chlor*.

SH, The default is search entire post, and I don't ever change that.

LL, I can get results searching for chlor*, but when I do BOTH chlor* and filter by my member name, then I get no results.

when I search for chloramine and filter by my name, I get 23 results.

That's why I think something is slightly broken.

I just tried and you are correct that it is actually searching for "chlor*" as when I searched it with Bignose as member, I got this thread as a result since "chlor*" is present. Is is actually looking for the * when a member is added.
