My seahorse gave birth on New Years Eve and several babies were still swimming around in the main tank and sump yesterday when the lights went on.

As of today the ones in the tank seem to have gone but there are three or four still in the refugium.Thought you might like to see a piccie of a baby plus mom and dad (aplogies for poor quality photos)

I'm not expecting them to last much longer but they're very cute at the moment!

Congratulations! We have had 3 lots of seahorse babies in one of our marine sale tanks at work, unfortunately they don't survive because they need very regular and particular feeding. The best chance they have is in your refugium with all the little critters to munch on. If you have gotten them to the free-swimming stage then you are doing well!

Wow, they are so cute. How large are they? My dad used to have seahorses and he also got them to have babies.
