there not the best of skimmers IMO. they just use a venturi. my top 8 skimmers for small/medium tanks.

1- deltec ap600
2- aquamedic turboflotter 100SL
3- deltec mce600
4- deltec mc500
5- aquamedic biostar flotter
6- cpr backpac
7- prism
8- midi flotter

6,7,8 I ave not had any experience with so couldn't coment but the top 5 are very good skimmers.

thank you! I will be doing research tonight! :D

I've got a SeaClone. It isn't the best out there, but it's reliable, and it runs well enough for me.

That list leaves out the AquaC Remora class of skimmers, which many highly experienced reefers swear by. Also leaves out the expensive top-of-the-line ETS (I think) and Euroreef models. There are many, many skimmers far superior to the Turboflotor, though I am quite happy with mine!

yeah, I agree with ostrow, but things like aqua c remoras are just not heard of in the UK and those are the top available skimmers in the UK. What tank size are the aqua c's rated at?
