Hi All,

I was recently given some large pebbles that a family member had picked up from the sea side.
I have given them a good wash. And also poured some vinagar over them, and there was no fizzing.

Are they safe to put in with tropical fish?

Thanks

I would boil them for an hour 1st but then u r good 2 go.
Place them in a pan with cold water place on hob and slowly bring to the boil (don't want 2 heat up the rocks 2 quick as they way crack leave at boiling temp for a bit. Then leave them in the pan to cool over an hour or 2 (again 2 make sure they don't termo crack) once fully cooled u r good 2 go.
Happy boiling

Hmmm. Not sure my wife will be too happy with me.
Will have to wait for her to go out.....

your wife would be right to be unhappy. you need you bumps felt if you boil rocks. very dangerous and foolish thing to do.
a good scrubbing in very warm water is all you need. indeed all that is safe.
