I was thinking of getting a shoal of scissortails or giant scissortails for a 400 litre tank. I also want a small shoal of Boesmani Rainbows. I have seen small scissortails for sale in lfs, but how big would they really grow in a 400l aquarium? Is it better to go for Giant Scissortails (how big do they get). Also will they interfere with a shoal of Boesmani Rainbows ( I think they may all swim at the seme levels). I already have 9 zebra Danios, would any of the above interfere with these two? Sorry about so many questions. There are so many excellent fish out there, I dont know what to get

Rasbora caudimaculata, (Giant, Greater, Ret Tailed Scissortail), is a peaceful shoaling fish which can grow up to 6"/150mm though rarely does. It will not bother other fish. If startled, it is likely to sprint, so a lot of swimming room is needed, and they are great jumpers, so a well fitting cover.

Rasbora trilineata, (Scissortail), can also get to that size but even more rarely. Also a peacful shoaler. It is less timid then a lot of Rasboras, and less inclined to panic, but is a bit of a jumper nevertheless.

I can't see a problem mixing them with Rainbows in neutral water conditions.
