Okay, so since I can't get my main tanks tempature down.. past 81... what do i do to breed my cories? put them in a tank and let the temp fall and do water changes? and how do I feed babies? my pepper cories were cool enough to spawn in a bought of green water so babies had lots of algea to munch.. but what about in clean tank?

That temperature is well over the range of 71-75 degrees F. that they normally live in. Even if they are completely mature, I would not expect them to spawn.

If you can reduce the temperature, even if they still don't spawn, it will benefit them and probably increase the length of their life spans.

mm.. i had it high for angles yeah i betetr reduce it haha! silly me!

I set it to 76.. I was on 78 but the temp is 81 anyway! why is thaT? could the light sbe doing it? how far shoud i raise them up?

Why doesn't the temperature go down? Could be a cruddy thermostat on the heater. I had an all glass 50 watt that would, set at the lowest setting, reliably heat a 20 gallon tank to 84 degrees in a 70 degree room. QC ain't all it ought to be sometimes.

What's the ambient temperature of the room? You may want to just take the heater out. How much light do you have over the tank? In one of my 20's the lighting is worth a 2 to 4 degree temperature bump after it's been on a while. If you still cant get the heat down, there's a trick from brewing you could use: Put the tank in a drip pan of some sort, filled with 2" of water. Wrap a cloth around the tank and hanging into the water in the drip pan so that it wicks up the water. Then point a fan at it. The evaporation is enough to lower the temp of a 5 gallon batch of beer as much as 15 degrees below ambient in dry air. It ought to be good for at least a couple or 5 degrees on an aquarium.

the temp is 80 do to all the lights haha! and I can't really lift up a 72 gallon and out a pan aroudn it haha.. I will sjut open the windows.. but in sumer that will be a problem.

I still have no idea what to feed them.. I fed my pepper cory fry Gw and hikari food.. will that work for suck a small cory?
