Bolivian RAMs or Apistos with Corydora can be tricky as they all inhabit the bottom of the tank.
Keeping bolivian RAms and apistos in groups can be tricky as well as when two pair off and breed they get very aggressive and territorial.
If one is wanting shoaling fish id suggest a few different shoaling species to fill out each level of the tank.
Hatchet fish shoal and inhabit exclusively top of tank. They form tight shoal and require lids as they are strong jumpers.
Another shoaling fish that swim top/middle are pencil fish. Dwarf pencil fish get about an inch and in the wild are often seen swimming with neons and other similar tetras.
Good mid level shoaling fish are rummy nose they form tighter shoals than most tetras they can be paired with other small peaceful shoaling tetra like neon, glo light, black neon, flame tetra, penguin tetra, emperor tetra, ember tetra.
As for bottom level corydora as you know do well in shoals.
Top middle bottom all filled out for a happy healthy tank!
