Scats need to be kept in groups of 3 or more. So I was wondering . . .

Is it safe to get 1 silver scat, 1 green scat and 1 ruby scat? I don't know if the difference in color will cause aggression among them :dunno:

I have the red and green scats together without any problems but i think you would have trouble with the silver scat which stays much smaller at around 4 inches full grown and is a member of a completely different genus, reds and greens are Scatophagus (argus argus for the green and argus arromaculatus for the red though the red is often inncorectly sold under its trade name of rubifrons) where as the silvers are Selenotoca (Selonotoca multifasciata).

Ahh, thank you for enlightening me Wise One. :p

I went to my LFS today and they had red and green scats for the first time ever! Too bad my nitrite is still too high.

Thanks CFC!
