I thought my crayfish died so I went to remove him from the tank Then I'm pulling the body out and out of no where this huge #$#$ thing lungs at me. He just had his first molt since I got him and it scared the crap out of me o.o *shakes* it tried to take my hand off ><

Been there!.....mine has been declared dead a few times. Leave the old moult in and he will eat it, this helps strengthen his new shell.

I'm surpised it lived while his shell was soft. How long are they soft for? He's in a tank with a small oscar, firemouth, red devil, and texas cichlid
