Today I took alot of time to do a good gravel hoover and filter clean and plant check etc.

Well after all that i was a little lazy and left the dirty filter water in the bucket on the side. Just went to pour it down the loo and noticed something moving before i even touched the bucket. I leant in only to see a tiny guppy fry whizzing back and forth in the water looking like he was playing (obviously free from the filter).

Ill be very honest I panicked a little and very quickly grabbed the bucket and my net scooped him so he was in the water but in the net safe from all the gunk from the filter. I moved round to the tank looked for a safe spot in the corner behind the big slate rockery thing i built and dunked the net down as close as i could to keep the bigger fish from seeing.

The fry slowly came out the net and before i had a chance to say out loud quick hide a guppy shot between a gap i thought was to small and ate the fry in one swallow.

Im now sat here feeling silly and guilty.

Im not upset cos i chose the Darwin Idea and its understandable that fish gotta eat. But i could have thought a few more mins and made a custom temp breeder box that would last till tomorrow. But alas you live and learn.

That should've been posted on "truth or dare"..... You need to streak down the main street in broad daylight for what you've just done..... & believe me...... If you vacumed one little fry..... there were at least 6 which you have not noticed...... :D :D
