Sandsifter Star Fish

My sandsifter starfish is buried in the sand I just got him yesterday and he has been buried ever since, is he going to be ok. I recently moved and my tank had only about one third of the original water in it. It has now been re set up now for a month.

He should be buried in the sand Thats why they call them sandsifting stars.

He will stay burried for a few days till he fels more settled and gets used to your water conditions, then he will move around to find food. Mine dissapears from time to time too , missing for days only to reapear at the other end of the tank

very funny i mean when i bought him he was moving all over the tank in the store but they had a moon light on him. I think i need a night bulb. My light may be too bright.
