Sand

Well I have been looking every where but can't find sand for my freshwater tank. The sand that I have looked at appears to fine. Will probably go thru the slits in my undergravel filter. Years ago when I was breeding the LFS carried it. Now all they carry is the same stuff that Wal Mart sells. Is there a web site here in the states that has what I want. Help me out guys. Thanks in advance.

Underground filters are terrible, get a cannister.

Under Gravel filters aren't bad.... But probably with sand. I wouldn't really recomend sand with them. However I actually recomend using cascade or canister filters on top of a under gravel filter with any other substrate. Great way of filtration.

As far as sand goes, I don't really know anything about it. Thinking about doing a tank with it though. Sorry I couldn't be much of help to ya.
