i am not looking for sea cucumbers or sea hares folks i would like to get something fish or cuc that moves my sand bed as i get bubbles trapped and algea growing due to lack of turning.

Going to LFS this weekend so tell me what you think will go well in a 128L tank and the chances are ill get it, so lon as it takes mostly pellet food. :) :good:

I got a diamond goby to sift my sand. That's all he does all day! eats flake, pellet, brine, mysis pretty much anything...

Others could be pickier though!

You shouldn't need to target feed them at all unless you have fish that won't let them eat. I'd look at Valencienna puellaris (diamond goby) or Valencienna strigata (sleeper gold head goby). Both eat prepared foods also.

Another good one for sand cleaning is a queen fighting conch. No it doesn't really fight :)

looks like i need a conch then, how do i get these lfs usually have them?

It's important to note that Diamond Gobies often do not accept frozen foods. I'm glad yours does eat frozen Bollands, but it's important for other aquarists to see it eating frozen/flake first in the shop before purchasing :)

I've noticed many sandsifting gobies have the tendency to not accept frozen foods. Diamond Goby definitely recommended, or a Bullet Goby, less common. They sift fairly well but are not overly vicious with it.

+1 for conch.
+1 for Nass snails. The bumblebee Nassarius are quite attractive, with their black and yellow stripes, so will add intrest. Depending on the size of your tank, I'd go for a conch and a few bubblebees.

I would stay away from starfish unless you have a large, well established tank with a fairly deep sandbed. All my starfish eventually disintergrated and wouldn't keep them again unless I had at least a 5ft tank.

hi there went to lfs again today and to sift sand i bought a sand sifting goby (blue cheek) and i love him! he is soo cute. hasnt eaten yet but only been a few hours. touch wood :)also he through in a bumblebee snail i found :p

Lovely, dont forget to add the little chap to the fish of the week - gobies page and add what you know about him too pretty please
