Which is the best looking colour/grain size for use in a planted tank? also which brings out the colour of fish best?

if you go with gravel, definitely use something dark, looks much better. i have whitish gravel and it just looks bland. as far as size, i'd go with as small as possible. but i guess it also depends on the type of fish you're planning to keep

yes i agree, i just bought black gravel with 1 bag of blue. Looks awsome. It should bring out the colors in the fish, and the plants.
