My current cleaner sucks about 35% of the water out during a clean.and doesnt do the greatest job......is their any really good products out their which you guys would recomend

Cheers

I just use a standard syphon. I take out 20% of water every timeand my tanks fine...

What you need to do is really stir up the substrate when you do a water change... It'll suck up all the muck from the bottom. If you have a planted stank and can't do that... just get really close to the bottom and wave it around. If you have plants you also want to syphon inside of the really busy ones - you'll be suprised at the amount of muck you'll get out of those!

Hi C27M :)

What are you presently using to clean your tank? If it's a gravity run siphon, if you lower the bucket you are using to collect the waste water, it will also lower the end of the siphon and slow the water flow down. This will give you more control over how much water is being being taken out and enable you to spend more time poking around in the gravel. :D
