I’m in the process of switching the substrate in my tank and I noticed these bubbles forming on top of the sand. I know that gas bubbles in sand can be dangerous for fish, but are these okay? I tried stirring the sand a bit, but they won’t go away. More bubbles keep surfacing and they sit on top of the sand

if its just added sand, it's just bubbles from settling, the trapped air is being released.

Stirring with a chopstick will help speed up the process

if you just switched the substrate could just be oxygen trapped under the substrate. If the bubbles dont smell like sulfur theyre most likely harmless. If they last for longer than a few days could be an issue
