they are clearly NOT the same fish. the dark colored fish is a flowerhorn and they DO NOT change to a color like pink

that is the same fish. do you not see the pictures??? i have pics. on another site if you would like to see. THAT IS THE SAME FISH. it is an srs. and they DO change! you cant see it in the pics due to the lighting but it still has the spots on its lateral line. for the record this fish is NOT pink she is red. she only looks pink cause of the crappy lighting.

the pic from sept. 3... look at the red showing through in the fins...

again, i promise this is the same fish!!!! the reason i posted it is cause you dont see that and it IS very hard to believe. its just kinda cool to see a fish go through such a change. at first she was starting with red blotches then after about a month of that she was fully red.

Can someone who has said that fish is not the same, explain why they believe they can't change? Many cichlids gain MUCH more colour as they grow. Many midas etc. change colour as they grow. Many cichlids start off dull grey, developing much better colour with better care once brought home and as they grow up.

answer this one then, since when do fish change shape? The head of the fish is totally misshaped from the first few pics. I have NEVER heard of a fishing changing the shape of its body.

i had Red Devil fry that within a few months looked nothing like they did the months before,

this is NORMAL for certain cichlids, NORMAL, not even out the ordinary!

Dave mate, seriously, certain cichlids change shape a lot when they grow from fry. ESPECIALLY the heads as it goes.

not pulling your leg, but i feel really sorry the Original Poster, amongst other stuff why the heck would he come on and try a lie like that? I dont see the point, but thats not the reason i believe him, i just seen it so many times, young cichlids having this change in shape but especially colour, seen it with my own eyes with Red Devils, Midas and various hybrid cross breeds

Funnily enough the reason i got bored of having certain breeding cichlids, is the fry are so DULL for the first few months, i got so bored of them, waiting for them to colour up, and some only colour up a bit, very slowly, the big change can happen early on or after quite a few months of waiting

sure, ill believe you guys because you have more experience in the hobby then i do. but all iam saying is that the head is not the same shape, the bottoms fins are SMALLER, not larger ( i have never heard of a fish shrinking, and growing) and it just looks totally different lol but ill still believe you guys b.c i really dont know.
