Hi I am looking into buying a large fish tank that is set up as a saltwater tank and converting in to freshwater, how would I go about doing this? Thanks

just dont add the salt to the water lol, why would you want to do it anyway ? a saltwater tank is only diffrents because of the salt water. my tropical tank is now being used as a marine tank... all i had to do was buy 1 extra filter, salt and sand.

and power heads, skimmer, sump

Ok well the reason that I am changing from salt to freshwater is because the tank that I am buying is set up as a saltwater tank, and I want to keep freshwater stingrays. The tank is a 220 gallon, it includes the tank, stand, 75 gallon glass sump with wet dry,640 watts (4 bulbs) SVHO lamps with oak hood, a fluval 404 filter, Nautilus EX Venturi skimmer,CPR overflow box ,350 lbs Live Rock ,50 lbs Live sand ,2 MD25 pumps and an ultra violet sterilzer. My question is what can I use for freshwater if I cleaned everything real well? What would I do with the live rock and sand? Thanks

dont clean the live rock before you sell it, you can probably sell it for 3.00 a pound uncleaned, if you clean it probably .50 a pound lol

Ok thanks guys. I'll keep you updated and let you know if I get the tank.
