How much salt to add to relieve stress in a 55g with guppies, red zebra, and bamboo shrimp? Anyone know?

1 level tablespoon per 10 gallons is what my salt says so 5.5 tablespoons of salt.

Just to be safe here, you can't use table salt, you need to use aquarium salt, kosher salt or pickling salt. Table salt will kill your fish. Marine/Saltwater salt is also unacceptable.

Hi ger87410 :)

Stress is a very serious problem that can lead to disease and the death of your fish. Salt will do little to relieve it. I suggest you determine the cause of the stress and eliminate it.

Some common causes of stress to fish are aggressive tankmates, high nitrites or ammonia, overcrowding, temperature fluctuations, uncleaned water and gravel, low oxygen content in the water, or uneaten food in the tank.

What is the problem you are having? :dunno:
