need to add some salt to my tank for fin repair.can i sue normal table salt or do i have to buy some fancy aquariam salt? :look:

Normal table salt is iodized, bad for fish. If you want to save some money, get plain, non-iodized pickling salt. A 3 pound box is around $1.25 around here.

The aquarium salt I got was 16 ounces (or one pound). It says that it treats up to 107 US gallons of fresh water. And it cost less than $2 at Walmart. Not bad at all. :good:

I use normal table salt and never used aquarium salt (since I'm 100% sure that our table salt is not iodized) but yes they are absolutely right it's better for you to use an aquarium salt it's safer.

BTW nice fighter betta on your avatar.
