Well,

today has been a good day, got back from Ultimate Aquatics in Fife with 4 new family members,

2 Clown Plecs for the community tanks....but by far the more "OOOOoooh" worthy are the 2 Carinotetraodon Salivator Puffers :)

Here they are an hour after being released devouring a cockle :D

The one at the front is the male and the female to the rear.

wow nice fish :hyper: they look nice and healthy, eating well by the looks too

Any more info of them? max size etc. What size tank are you keeping them in, will you be upgrading?

Currently thy are both in a 20gall tank with large bog woods and planted ferns and anubis. Fully gornw they only reach 5cm, so are one of the smaller fresh water Puffers available. They are how ever fairly rare to get hold of atm.

We have another tank running just incase mr and mrs fall out. in which case we will have one in a 20 and one in a 10 gall :)

Ok managed to get some more snaps :)

Nice puffers, and the tank looks so clean and fresh!

Its good that you have a back-up plan too :good:

They are even nicer than I thought they would be after looking in the Aqualog puffer book. In my opinion: the coolest dwarf puffers avaidible.
How much did you buy them for?

awesome fish, one of the coolest puffers ive seen, do you see them often in your area or did you get your lfs to order them?

They were £20 each.

My local wont stock Puffers, so i went on a 60 min drive to Ulitimate Aquatics in Fife, they had them in stock :)
