Hi

I had 2 sailfin leopard plecs...one had now been returned to the shop as it was growing like mad, and the LFS I got it from said when it gets too big for my tank I could take them back...decided to take the bigger one back this evening, I decided to hold on to the smaller one for a couple of weeks, as he was way smaller than the other one.... but know eventually he will also have to go....

Anyway onto my question...a friend of mine has some bristlenose plecs....which I had decided I wanted when the sailfin ones went, as I had read that they do not grow as big...could anyone clarify this?..I do not know what kind of bristlenose plecs they are....but can find out...wanted to ask could they go in with the sailfin...or am I better to wait till I have rehomed him?

Any advice would be much appreciated...I do not have that much knowledge on bristlenose, so hoping someone here might be able to help me?

Thanks in advance

Debbie

Id wait until you removed the sailfin so there are no aggression problems.
Bristlenoses (sometimes reffered to as BNPs) get to around 6" maximum are are a much better long term fish than a sailfin.
Thee is probably a species profile on BNPs in the forums species index, and there is a lot of information on them on the net.
