I wanted to make sure my new plants were free of medication and fertilisers, so i've had these cabombas soaking in dechlorinated tap water for about 3 days now. the bucket they were in had a filter packet with black carbon in it.

then i rinsed them in more dechlorinated tap water, then in tank water. then i put one of the two of them in my invert tank. the invert tank is running fresh black carbon and also i put in some dechlorinator just for good measure.

my dad reckons it's too soon and that i should get them out of there.

they've been in the tank for 2 hours or so and there's no ill effects yet.

is it safe to keep the plants in there or should i remove them?
