Sad News Today

[The-Wolf]

I've just come back from the vets and
I'm sad to say that Gennie has extreamly
high blood pressure (280)
brought on by kidney failure.

I have been given some pills for her to take daily (crushed in food)
and have to go back in 3 weeks for a check up.
Hopefully the pills will lower her blood pressure and that in turn will
help with the kidneys.

I'm really sorry to hear that Wolf, I know what she's going through right now. We last one of our cats to kidney failure earlier this year, it's not nice seeing them go through it =/ Mind you though, cats can often make the vets look silly by holding on a lot longer than is tought they will =)

I hope she'll live out the rest of her life without too much trouble or pain. And I'm once again really sorry to hear you and her have to go through this.

Poor Gennie! I hope the meds make her feel better. Sorry to hear your predicament wolf and I hope everything works out. Remember to give her moist food to keep her hydrated. Also lots of love!

I hope she gets better for you wolf I hate when people animals gets sick, I think if you show her you love her and want her with you I think that makes a big difference with a animal.. Godd luck with your cat I will have my fingers crossed for you and your kitty..

hope it all turns out ok,sad day for us both my tank burst last night i lost all my fish,bar 1 catfish,thats struggling though.

good news everyone
I've just come back from a checkup and Gennies blood pressure is now 180
that is still a bit high but no where near as high as it was.

She now has to taken the pills for the rest of her life, which I hope will be a few more years now
than I thought 3 weeks ago.
