So my two blur acaras were trying to spawn and I did everything I could fine online to try to make them stop but they were persistent. I was told I would have to remove one of them, so I removed the female, leaving only male acaras in my tank to avoid breeding again. However, the male is still sitting in the spot where they always were and won’t come out to eat. I have to put my hand in and drop shrimp pellets I give my syno for him. He is also very timid and whenever I come near the tank, he darts back to his spot (I think he is out when no one is in the room). Will he go back to normal (he was usually out a lot and not scared?

I have two severums, and I had two other acaras at the time with a synodontis besides the pair and I was afraid they would get very aggressive and attack the tank. I also do not have good experience with breeding such as angel fish and platies.
