I am creating a SA biotope and i would like to include some shrimp but i have only been able to find a few kinds of shrimp native the SA and would like to know if you guys know of any

I know that Palaemonetes ivonicus is native to the amazon basin. It it sometimes sold as a ghost shrimp.

Many of the shrimp common to the hobby originate in Asia, unfortunately for you.

Its not a shrimp my there is a type of invertebrate a bit like a crab called an Aegla that it native to Argentina, they aren't very common in LFS but you may be able to get some online.

I don't know that much about them so can't suggest any fish to keep in a biotope with them though!

i would like to get these because they stay relatively small and dont need any dry land like FW crabs do and i would be keeping them with tetras which are pretty fast so if the Aegla did get hungry for a tetra hopefully it would be fast enough to out run it

the only problem is i havnt even found anywhere online that sells them yet

I read somewhere that the most commonly sold aegla is very peaceful and small and even gets along with dwarf shrimp.
