2. can i breed a father an daughter fish w out probs also what about sister an brother?

1.Usually a few weeks
2.No I wouldn't do that cause they will be weak and deformed with sorter lifespand
3.Usually 7 month old and they are mature

Yea I guess it's pretty much the same I have palties myself the male is a little trouble maker chasing all the ladies around :)

1. when do fry start showing color?
Usually you can tell about what color they will be when they come out. They usually gear towards yellow or gray. The markings will start coming out in a few months.

Yes, you can. However, it's not really recommended unless you are trying to develop a certain color or trait, and you need 2 fish with that trait. If you can, avoid it. If it happens because you didn't seperate them soon enough..don't worry too much. It's mostly a problem with Guppies.

3. how old r fish when they r able to become pregnant?
For Platies...at about 5-6 months they will be mature. You should see the males gonopodium starting to develop before that, and technically once he has that, they can breed.

whats yr m/f ratio in ur tank maybe better put in more males

2-3 females per male, at least. This is to reduce stress on the females, so they are not constantly chased by the males. Also, if you have more males then females, the males will start being aggressive with each other.
