Alright as many of you know, I'm moving. I'm leaving for TN on July 1st. And my fish STILL have a small amount of ick, almost all gone, I've treated for 12 days, everyday, then every other day for till 16th day. They still had it. Now I'm treating every day.

Been using Rid Ick and am doing 20 % water change. Filter is running with no carbon. I can't be adding ick meds when I take them in the motorhome. I don't think they are going to make it. I was praying they would get better earlier and that I'd have a few days of them in med-free water before moving with them. Any suggestions? I have heat to 84, it was at 86 for the first part of treatment, and that helped get a lot of ick off. But with AC in house, it won't rise about 84 till I do water change. HELP.
Good thing is, the fry that has survived are large enough to not be eaten now. All are doing well, cept my one tetra often gets a Swim Bladder thing going on, oh well, can't do Everything. lol. If I feed them less to help him out, they'll eat or try to eat the babies, if I do feed him normally, he'll probably get worse. I have medication for it, but can't use with Rid Ick. If he makes it, I'll treat him later. One disease at a time. I'm just trying to save MOST of them and move while doing this.

Would it be good to NOT do a water change before adding meds, maybe that might be too much meds though and could kill them, specially the tetras. Ug. I need a quick cure all... can I buy a miracle?

Anyway, any suggestions would be WONDERFUL.

Oh yeah, one last question... how much Approx. is the weight of a tank? Like how many lbs to gal?

I know everyone is busy on here, but does anyone have an answer or a suggestion as to how to clear up ick quick? If not, then sorry if I wasted any of your time. I'm just trying to save my fish and move at the same time.... not the easiest thing to do. lol

Just wanted you to know that I read your thread and wanted to offer sympathy and support as I really have no idea how to help you!

As far as the weight of water, I've heard 10 lbs. per gallon, but my father-in-law told me 13 lbs. I guess I should go weigh a gallon of milk and find out, but that would be logical.

Good luck with your move!
