Running 2 External Filters

When I get my 5ft tank set up I will be running 2 external filters (aquapro 4), but I came up with the idea this morning of instead of having 2 intake and outlet pipes in the tank, would it be possible to put the outlet from one filter onto the intake of the other joining the two together?

yep it is possible you will need a larger diameter piping for maximum flow a couple of Y shape pieces to attach 2 pipes into 1 and 2 reducer pieces to make the pipe the oridginal size for the filter end that should work in theory there is no problem with it

You cannot series chain them as you planned as it put premature wear on the motors and tends to cause leaks, but the parallel chaining described above works a treat
