Rummy Nose Tetras

I have recently bought 2 rumy noser tetras to mix with my shoal of 4 so now i have 6. But one has gone missing and he is a new one. I have searched everywhere and especially in my plants as they like plants. There are no caves and no fish bigger than 6cm so i am completely mystefied. When they die do they turn completwly colourless?

Dont worry people, i have found him, he died. I think the person who caught him hurt him earlier.
