on wednesday i put 12 rummy nose tetra in my new (but cycled) 200 ltr tank. they have been fine but just now one of the tetra's is staying alone, all of them where to begin with but this one has stopped.
can anyone tell me why? they all appear healthy.
cheers for any help!

could it be that they have settled? because I have noticed that they sometimes split into small groups  it is only them in there by the way, except for a few baby snails.

Keep an eye on it, does it look skinnier than the rest?

Sometimes they get a bit lethargic and one can sit out the swimming up and down routine. Usually they pick back up but quite often it isn't a good sign. Not in my experience anyhow.

Good luck though!

cheers for the reply mate. he/she is the same size as the rest and has eaten as much as the other, he isn't the only one doing it though and they dont always stay as just 1. seems a bit confusing, looks like they have just settled in and feel safe but i dont know much about fish so that is why I have asked. is there any other food that the rummy nose tetra like as well as flakes?

Mine take flake, tetraprima, blood worm (frozen), daphnia, and crumbled catfish pellets. They'll pick at anything if they're hungry :good:
