I have only just noticed but when i crank my lights on in the morning my rummy nose has no colour on its nose then after a while it comes back.is this a problem or does this usualy happen and does anyone know why?

It's usual don't worry. Most fish, or most fish that I have owned seem to have no colour for the first 20 mins/half hour of the light coming on.

Rummy noses go super pale in the dark and play dead in bags. They think it's funny to scare people. Mine also lost their color when the heater malfunctioned, so if they seem more pale then usual, you might want to check the temp to be safe.

Most tetras do it. I presume it's a survival mechanism, you don't what to be at your brightest in the dark where there are predators around so they dull down in colour.
They also do with when stressed for any reason like fire4ice mentioned.

Often they will also settle low down in the tank in an area they feel safe in. Mine 'go to bed' in the most densely planted area they can find and only venture out every now n then.
