Rubbish Heater!

hi everyone!

the heater i got with my tank is only heating upto 24deg/74fh....is that enough or should i get a new one?

I'm not an expert on it, but I think that so long as it can keep your tank at a constant high 70's temp/low 80's, I think you should be all set with it....

Do you have Stealth heaters over there? I've found those to be the best and easiest to work with. Others that don't have adjustable temps are kind of a pain and alot of guesswork about high to turn it up.....AND unless you sit home 24/7 and watch the thermometer, you don't know for sure whether your tank is getting enuf or too much heat. Anything over about 74 or so--no lower. I can say though I think they're about the happiest and most active at 79 to 80. Good luck and hope this helps!...??

If the heater is working full time to keep the tank at that temp, it's not going to help if the ambient temp gets lower than it is now. Best to have some spare heating capacity .......
