Royal Plec With Orangey Fins ?

im looking after this royal until my mate gets his tank sorted out, and as hes getting bigger he's getting orange flashes on his fins. hes probably just under 2" at the moment, and you can see the orange in these bad photos i took. ive no idea what baby ones are supposed to look like, his 'green' as you can see is quite dark, though he lightens up when the lights are off, revealing the usual green and black pattern. and you can see he doesnt have orange eyes like all other royals ive seen, and these weird orange bits in his fins. is this normal ? he was only a tenner, which is why hes in my tank as my mate didnt want to risk missing him while his tank is getting sorted.
