Anyone have them , and some advice as well? :p I'll have some pics when he settles in :D I got him to see if he would nibble on the algae in my oddball tank (of couse, if it doesn't, that's ok) What do they like to eat? Maybe some veggies and the occasionall meaty foods? Anything helps :)

Farlowellas, as far as I aware, eat algae. My farlowella eats it religously and he's got t be at least 7". Nice fish, Jae will be so jealous!! Do you have pictures?

will soon :D Good thing about the algae, my tank has a big problem with it and plecos may harm my polypterids :)

Here's some Pics :) He wouldn't come out of that cloud of algae/mulm :dunno:

JHust an update, I see what you mean about the algae CS, there was nasty brown algae in the tank yesterday, it's gone now  I'm glad he wasn't a waste of $17 bucks. (He is a male BTW, he has bristles on the sides of his head :hyper: )
It'd be cool if I could get a female :shifty:

Very Cool Looking Fish!
Nice to see when someone does his job that he was intended to do :D
Good luck with him

wow, nice fish. I was going to get one but they were a bit pricey... From what ive been told they need really good oxygen levels in the water, my little falrlowella was a really cool fish, laid back, he'd let you pick him up with your fingers! He was nearly as hard to catch as a plant. Yeah, they do eat algae. Algae wafers are good
