They are absolutely lovely!

Am I right in thinking that those stripes will fade out? Will their colors change too, or is this the color they will always be? You can tell that I don't know too much about bettas. )

I gather that the horizontal stripes are stress stripes and will blend in when not stressed. When a Betta girl goes all whack for a betta boy, she gets vertical breeding bars.

The last picture in the first set is the mother. I belive they will look like her as they color up. I can already see some of the colors peeking out.

Basically I chose them because they were $5. But I think they will turn striking. They are classified (?) as Black Copper. I think the copper is showing out right now. But I saw some reds and other colors too.

What did you hear on your pretty boy? What cories did you get?

One of my cories really had some touble getting free from the net. I didn't realize how prickly they are.
