It's very sad news that my one rosy barb just just got it's belly busted!
I had 6 rosy barbs which most of the time hide themselves in some place.

Today i was just changing half of water and
also removed a bic artifical tree as it was occupienin lot of space.

During this process the fishes were very much frighten but it looked absolutely normal.
but as soon as i looked for the 6th barb, i found it at the hop with a very big hole in the body.

I take her out with my net and she was like dissolved, very much things were coming out of her body,
i put her in a poly bag with and throw the polybag with net in a near garden.

Very sad, very much disturbed, that image of fish with a very big hole in body is coming in front of me.

Now i wanna know what was the reason behind this. :rip:

Thanks !!

to any dry pellets ?
or maybe it has been dead a while and is decomposing while being eaten by other fish ect

actually mr.tom i got only 7 gallon tank and always have a look on them, that incident was just happened moments ago before i notice!

i searched interned and found a desiese called "DROPSY" which ultimately causes fish to explode its stomatch !!

Fish TB will do much the same I believe... I would watch the other fish VERY closely.

Likewise it is also possible that she died from a different cause and started decomposing from the inside out.

ok i will watch all other 5 rosy barb and 3 mollies .

But please suggest me what to do next, any medicine, and action to be taken.

i will change water tommrow!!

Hello there. sorry to hear your sad news. A waterchange wouldn't hurt and maybe a little salt ( thats if these fish like salt...I know mollies do) would help treat them against infection...as a precaution. ask the others if this may help
