Sorry, Golden nugget
I understand there a bit Territorial, but seen as hes a small spot he'll be 8" at the very most which should give him plenty of room.
I've wanted him for a while but hes always been a display fish. But now, the guys taking the big tank out so he has no room for the GN
6" at £15 is a steal

The rio 180 should be fine for a while to come, the decor will need changing..ie.. move hiding places.
Unfortunately even the L81 small spot wont only stay 8 inch max, 8 inch is usually size without tail, the tail will then add a possible 3 inches but they grow slow and ive seen these fish (L81) at 13 inches+ so be prepared for a much larger plec than you think.
Be careful if you are planning on adding him/her with other plecs, even though they probably will get on, they tend to be quite aggression and territorial at times, with alot of reports of them fighting.
As i said they do grow very slowly hence the reason i said the tank should be fine for a while to come

I've got alot more plants and hiding places than it shows in my sig. Also going to add some more wood for him.
At 13" would he still be happy in the 180 or would i be looking at an upgrade.
I think i might move the BN before i get the GN. If theres any agression and fighting between the GN and the L333 im will have to make a choice.
Hes a good 6" with tail at the minute.
Cheers Jake
I feed the plecs allsorts: Lots of fresh veg, algae wafers, meaty wafers, freeze dried krill....
Im sure the GN will find something he likes.
Anyways, hes in the tank now, just settling in, found himself a piece of wood.
He's in great condition, nice colour and a fat belly
