Rock's??

is it safe to put in some rocks that i have found near my house in my tank?
these rocks are from a creek near my house that flows to a river...

I would test them first before I put them in the tank. By testing I mean pour some vinegar over the rocks and if they fizz, bubble or do anything other than just sit there don't use them. It means there is something in the rock that can hurt/ kill your fish if you use them. If they don't do anything boil them and soak them and boil them and reapeat many many many many many times over to make sure you got all the nasty stuff off of them.

ok thnx i was kinda worred at first coz when i was washing them out all this yellow gunk came of and stuff they were also slimey ewh!
