In our 10 gallon nursery/ medical aquarium the white rocks are turning green. What is causing this? Is it going to harm the month old guppy, Molly and week old Platy frys?

is it slimy or hairy or something else? Or is the rock litterally turning green? Have you tried scrubing it and does the green stuff come off?

hehe - its algae. My old molly used to love algae. You could try turning them over if its bothering you, either that or boil / scrub them. Is the tank getting alot of light ?

HI also getting this problem , think its cos i leave my light on a lot of the time , but do this for my plants sake. are there specific fish or plecs that eat this off ? thanks

Depends which type, plecs / suckermouths will eat algae, but generally not hair algae, and not when its on plants....

plecs are horrible for cleaning algae. best to get some otos or if your tank is big enough SAE.

yes algae :)
