i recently purchased two rock shrimp from my lfs and the bloke told me they would eat cherry shrimp is this true? and if so does that mean so would giant african filter shrimp ?

Filter-feeding shrimp are harmless to other shrimp.

exactly what i thought,

who thinks i should put them in with my cherry shrimp like i wanted to,
and who thinks i should leave them in my tank with my larger comunity fish

if viewers could just post a quick message with either cherrys or community
thanks

Cherrys is the better option because fish can cause stress on rock/wood/bamboo (ect) shrimp causing death.

Your fan shrimp will be vulnerable when it's moulting, so if there's anything big enough to try and bite him, make sure he has a good hiding space. Plus, all fan shrimp are best added to more established tanks. If either tank is under 6 months old, you might need to supplement his diet with targeted feeding, which can be troublesome. They also like to be able to sit in a current so they can sieve the water.

Just some things for you to think about. :)
If it's suitable, your cherry tank might be best suited.
