If i use RO water for my marine tank what do i need to add to the water before putting in the tank?

If i buy Ro water how long will do i have to use it up?

And also can i use 50%ro and 50% tap?

All depends on what you are doing and what you are keeping.

If you are filling the tank for the first time or after a water change, then you need to add marine salt (and any buffers you may be using if trying to grow more demanding corals). If topping up for evaporation use neat.

There is no time limit on RO water so long as you keep it sealed and free from physical contamination.

50% RO and 50% tap can work fine in FO or FOWLR, but with a reef it has some added issues with regards to causing algae and such.

For more info, try posting down the bottom of the board in the marine sections.
