Hi guys,

I got a 2nd hand RO Unit yesterday along with replacement cartridges. Its a Purity on tap Ultro 50 unit. SP2000 range.

I need help connecting it to the plumbing in our flat. Not sure how to go about it and all. It didnt come with any instructions and I dont know what to do.

Does anybody have any ideas how I can go about it? It has all the piping etc. If needed I will take photos of all the parts.

Have a hard look at your RO. The thing running across the top of the filter housings is usually the RO itself. The way that a typical RO is set up, at least in my own experience, is that water flows into the pre-filters. From there it flows to the RO where two streams emerge. One stream is waste water that contains the majority of the flow and goes right to your drain. The other flow stream goes on to the final filter, often a carbon filter, before going to your tank. The water that has been processed in the RO and is ready for carbon filtration may be stored in a pressurized storage tank as my under sink system does. That means a T that goes to/from a storage tank taps off between the RO and the final filter. That means that I can actually draw off quite a bit of water that is being held in storage before relying on the very slow production rate of the RO itself.
